Psychologist
I. QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Candidates should possess:
A. a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology or Psychology from a recognized institution or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the Board of Management;
B. be a registered psychologists who can provide counselling and therapy and can work in any area of psychology;
C. be computer literate;
D. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Candidates should have at least 2 years working experience in a similar position.
II. DUTIES:
To be responsible to the Manager for:-
(a) Giving psychological advice (e.g. methods, educational psychology organization, individualised instruction programmes, behaviours modification techniques);
(b) Advising parents by way of visits, talks, pamphlets, booklets, guidelines;
(C ) Assessing beneficiaries with special needs and ensuring follow-up measures.
(d) Organizing, coordinating and supervising special education programmes;
(e) Carrying out action research on areas related to under-achievement and submitting proposals/measures for improvement;
(f) Initiating action on early identification of disabilities, providing proper advice and ensuring necessary follow-up;
(g) Collecting and updating data and ensuring the upkeep of records on relevant cases; and
(h) Working in close collaboration within teams including Pedagogical Inspectors, Manager and relevant institutions to improve beneficiary performance and ensure their well-being.
(i) To use ICT in the performance of his duties.
(j) To perform such other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to the delivery
of the output and results expected from Educational Psychologists in the roles ascribed to them.
III. SALARY:
Salary is negotiable.
