Soleil de L’ Ouest is looking for an experienced and skilled Manager on a part-time (3 days weekly) and contractual basis to oversee its community projects and services and ensure the smooth running of its offices in Case Noyale and Le Morne (Centre Geraldo Verloppe) villages.
1. Roles and responsibilities of the Manager:
i. Timely execution of the policies, programmes/activities and decisions of the Board;
ii. Ensuring that the projects and services are being delivered
iii. Identifying and developing strategies and innovative practices in pursuance of the mission of Caritas ;
iv. Providing practical supervision to the staffs
v. Setting goals and objectives through measurable key performance indicators
vi. Networking with donors to ensure project sustainability;
vii. Be actively involved in project writing;
viii. Active participation and engagement in Board meetings and after-hours working sessions such as Reflexion Partage Parents, and other related activities;
and ix. Monthly reporting to the Board of Caritas – SLDO;
2. Qualifications and skills required
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance or related field is required from a recognised institution.
An advanced degree such as MBA/MSC can be an advantage;
2. Reckoning at least 3 years’ experience in senior management in any of the above fields;
3. Administrative skills;
4. Human Resources management skills;
5. Financial management skills;
6. Leadership and management skills;
While the majority of the work is expected to be conducted on regular office hours, the Manager will be required to work on irregular working hours on evenings or on the weekends, as determined by needs and priorities of Caritas – SLDO.
