Principal duties
• Provide a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for women and children. Ensure families coming in crisis receive welcoming support.
• Be aware of the needs of women and children in the refuge and assist where necessary.
• Carry out any duties required by night staff.
• Encourage and maintain the ‘self-help’.
• Ensure rooms are clean and are of a high standard for incoming families.
• Promote and maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the house.
• Ensure that all house rules are maintained.
• Prepare and leave handover information for day staff on events and incidents throughout the night.
