EU-MAURITIUS YOUTH FORUM / YOUTH SOUNDING BOARD (2nd cohort)
The European Union (EU) values the active role of the young generations as we believe it is important to build trust between decision makers and youth, and create opportunities for decision makers to recognise and leverage the potential of youth. The European Union has a clear mandate to ensure that youth is meaningfully involved in shaping our policies and actions.
It is in this context that the EU Delegation in Mauritius intends to set up the 2nd cohort of the EU-MAURITIUS YOUTH FORUM / YOUTH SOUNDING BOARD to hold structured and recurrent dialogue with the young generations. It will be an opportunity for the young generations to interact with the EU Ambassador and his team on pertinent issues through frank and constructive discussions. For information, under the 1st cohort (2022-2024), several members of the youth forum were sponsored by the European Union to attend regional and international conferences abroad.
We are presently constituting the 2nd cohort of the Youth Forum / Youth Sounding Board (2024-2026) for the Republic of Mauritius by designating young representatives from all sectors of the society.
We have today launched an expression of interest inviting youth between the age of 18 to 30 yrs of age to submit their application in the attached Application Form by the deadline of Tuesday 30 April 2024 to the email address DELEGATION-MAURITIUS@eeas.europa.eu.
