This year, 35 children from Future Hope enjoyed this unique summer adventure — a week filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable memories.
Children aged 8 to 15 took part in the programme, built around the theme “Aventuriers vivre sans téléphone avec les amis” (“Adventurers experiencing life phone-free with friends”). As Marie Noelle Ramdeen explained, the goal was to encourage children to disconnect from screens and reconnect with themselves, nature, and their friends.
The first two days focused on younger participants aged 8 to 12, who learned to set up tents, explored their surroundings, discovered nearby landmarks, played beach games, enjoyed an introduction to swimming, and prepared a small show. Their enthusiasm grew as younger children joined in for shared beach activities.
The 3 last days, the teenagers took over the campsite with a programme combining fun and empowerment. A road accident survivor delivered an impactful awareness session on road safety, followed by energetic Zumba, team games, and a special performance by a popular local singer.
Through laughter, discovery, and shared experiences, the Future Hope camping programme once again offered children a meaningful holiday—one that encouraged connection, growth, and life beyond screens.
