Association Vent d’un Rêve was born thanks to Mr. Paul Olsen and Fondation Spectacles et Culture in February 2011. Mrs Merven was the founder of this project having taught music to the children of Mangalkhan for fifteen years. One key factor in the project has been the involvement of the teachers and parents of Cité Mangalkhan.
To foster a sense of responsibility for the project, the Association was registered in February 2012 under the name of “Vent d’un Rêve”.
In April 2014 Vent d’un Rêve separated from Fondation Spectacles & Culture and was officially CSR registered, N/1623. A working team composed of teaching and administrative staff meet twice a month to see to the smooth running of the school and organize the different activities
The Managing committee, composed of residents of Mangalkhan (The mother of one of the children, an active social worker and a young university graduate), two retired school headmasters, a musician, an actuary who has taken charge of the financial section, meet monthly to guide and advise the project, to encourage team building and ensure the Association is correctly structured and managed.
The Association raised funds for the project in 2012 via kind donations and CSR funding mostly for instruments, equipment and for the renovation of the hall where the project activities are based.
