Post:

  • Social Worker on a full time basis

 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Sociology or Social Work 
  • 3 years’ experience in the social work sector

 

Duties:

  • To assist in the identification of beneficiaries. 
  • To interact in a professional way with beneficiaries, resource persons, community leaders and platforms.
  • To manage information pertaining to beneficiaries in a professional and ethical way.
  • To provide counseling to beneficiaries in situation of vulnerability. 
  • To assist the Child Psychologist & Parental Coach. 
  • To act as a facilitator for resource persons on field.
  • To assist in delivery of training sessions.
  • To plan meetings with beneficiaries targeted.
  • To undertake constant follow up of families targeted by the project through proper case management.
  • To refer beneficiaries to relevant agencies, NGOs or any services that provide specific support according to their needs.
  • To monitor overall improvement of livelihood of beneficiaries. 
  • To keep proper records and information about the activities.
  • To supervise the duties of the Field Worker(s). 
  • To report on a regular basis to Project Coordinator.
  • To attend to all meetings pertaining to the project 
  • To prepare narrative reports (including qualitative and quantitative data) to Project Coordinator on a quarterly basis

 

Responsibilities:

  • Mobilise, counsel and motivate beneficiaries of the targeted catchment area. 
  • Ensure case to case management at Grass-Roots. 
  • Ensure proper follow up and monitoring beneficiaries. 
  • Ensure coaching and referrals. 
  • Provide assistance and support to families in distress. 
  • Act as a facilitator between the trainers and the local community. 
  • Work and report on objectives set. 
  • Assist Project Coordinator in the implementation of all projects. 
  • Provide written reports to Project Coordinator on a regular basis

Description

Objective of the call:

The Fund aims to strengthen the economic and social empowerment of women in vulnerable situations by contributing to structural transformation that supports their emancipation, inclusion, and active participation in economic and social life.

 

Specific Objectives:

Each project must address at least two of the following three objectives:

 

  • Promote women’s participation and inclusion in economic and social life;

  • Facilitate women’s access to certified vocational training tailored to local realities, with a view to sustainable employment integration;

  • Support women in developing income-generating activities and accessing sustainable economic opportunities.

 

Target Group

The supported projects must benefit women, with priority given to young women aged 15 to 34 who are exposed to multiple forms of vulnerability. This includes in particular:

 

  • Women living in poverty;

  • Elderly women who are isolated or dependent;

  • Migrant, displaced, or refugee women;

  • Teenage mothers and single mothers;

  • Women living with HIV;

  • Women with disabilities;

  • Women from sexual or gender minorities;

  • Women who are survivors of gender-based violence;

  • Women facing extreme hardship or living in remote rural areas.

  • Special attention will be given to women displaced in contexts of conflict and post-conflict situations.

 

Eligibility Criteria Relating to the Applicant Organization

The project lead organization must meet the following conditions:

 

  • Be a non-profit civil society organization (CSO).

  • Be legally registered and recognized by the competent authorities of one of the 53 full member States or governments of the OIF for at least two years as of the launch of the call for proposals on 26 February 2026.

 

  • The following are recognized as eligible CSOs:

    • Non-governmental organizations (NGOs);

    • Foundations;

    • Humanitarian associations;

    • Economic interest groupings;

    • Cooperatives.

 

The following are not eligible: individuals, companies, universities (public or private), local authorities, or religious or partisan entities.
