Dibout Ansam
Dibout Ansam is a community-driven organisation working at the crossroads of addiction prevention, trauma healing, family support, and youth empowerment.
Rooted in compassion and guided by evidence-based practices, our work helps individuals and families reconnect with safety, meaning and inner strength. We are one of the few organisations in the South dedicated to both prevention and therapeutic support in the field of addiction.
With our upcoming National Prevention Campaign (2025), we aim to reach schools, families, workplaces, and communities to plant the seeds of emotional wellness, resilience, and early intervention.
We are currently working on the establishment of a Residential Therapeutic Centre.

The idea for Dibout Ansam emerged in 2019 after community workers in the Southern region began witnessing a growing number of families affected by drug and alcohol dependence. While visiting households and offering support to the sick and vulnerable, it became evident that many health and social challenges were linked to untreated addiction and unaddressed emotional suffering. This reality revealed an urgent need for a dedicated support structure in the South — one that could offer prevention, guidance, and therapeutic accompaniment rooted in compassion and dignity.
In response, a small group of committed volunteers came together to create Dibout Ansam, uniting their experience in community work, emotional education, and addiction support. Since then, the organisation has grown into a recognised presence in the region, offering prevention programmes, psycho-education, emotional wellness support, and community-based healing initiatives for families, children, and young people.
