The main function of the outreach officer is to reach out to men having sex with men (MSM) and transgender individuals (TGs) as per the requirements of PILS’ Community Health Services (CHS) Department.
-Conduct field interventions targeting MSM and TGs to provide information on HIV, sexually transmitted infections, hepatitis, and harm reduction as established with Outreach Coordinator
-Offer counselling to key populations and the general population
-Promote HIV, hepatitis and rapid STI testing and refer beneficiaries to the Health Care -Conduct HIV rapid testing (once officially trained)
-Distribute condoms, gels, and other HIV prevention materials
-Contribute to treatment literacy based on the beneficiaries’ needs
-Provide information on human rights and channel relevant information to Outreach Coordinator
