To supervise the team of educators and carers in their daily work with the beneficiairies.
To ensure that the school's curriculum is being well implemented.
To assist the Board and Paramedical team in the daily running of the school.
To help the educators and carers in the planning and implementation of the Individual Education Programmes and Individual Care Programmes, to be prepared at least once a year to meet the Educational and Care needs of the beneficiaries.
To keep an updated individual record/profile/ progress of each beneficiaries.
To carry out follow-ups and evaluations of beneficiaries’ performance and progress at least once a month, and report on them to the Board and Paramedical team.
To assist as required the medical and paramedical team in their examinations and therapies.
To keep an updated scheme, plan and record of work for each beneficiary.
To ensure discipline in and outside the classroom.
To devise and implement any projects or programmes being funded by the various stakeholders.
To ensure at all time that the well-being, self-esteem and self-confidence of the beneficiaries are being protected.
To ensure that there is no physical, psychological and verbal abuse on the beneficiaries, and be a guarantor of the beneficiaries’ welfare at all times.
To attend training, courses, and workshops as and when required for continuous professional development.
To provide Family support, i.e. working with the parents or guardians and with siblings or other family members who have an important part in the beneficiaries’ life.
To do Home/Field Visits as and when required.
To liaise with any stakeholders and any other voluntary bodies - This may involve attendance at statutory case conferences, membership of core groups, advocating on behalf of beneficiaries to bodies such as the Health Board, Hospital Visits and Support groups.
To have the welfare and quality of life of disabled persons at heart.
To be an advocate of the disability cause and inclusion.
To have a sound experience in designing and implementing of projects and programmes for the promotion of the welfare and quality of life of people with disabilities.
To be proactive, and a team player.
Minimum qualification – Higher School Certificate or any alternative as acceptable by the Board and the SENA
Having good speaking and writing skills in the local languages.
Minimum of 4 years working experience within the education sector and children.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Full-time position with Working Hours from 8h00 to 16h30.
Salary will be according to candidate’s profile.
